His species is a type sea dragon called a Rahab with psychic abilities on sailors and can use fire as well as black sulfuric smoke when he comes out of the water and attacks islands or the shore towns. They are known to get to the size of most sailboats. It can also jump out of the water and glide through the air for good distance. This type of dragon is one of the main causes for ships that are found in perfect condition with no crew on board because these creatures think it is amusing to do that and it is a good way to scare humans. And islands have been found burned or the houses are found covered in black with no one left alive. Most humans believe that this species are demons from Hell.

But not all of his species are mean and sometime lives alone from human contact because human fear them. Gabir is a friendly one that will help human sailors without them even seeing him or hearing him so they will remain calm. He protects people from the sea and from others of his kind without people even knowing about him. He keeps to himself a lot because most would fear him.
