@00:50Thanks! The longest part of this was making the clay puppets. But to make puppets and the animation, it was about a month and a half.

Thanks!

This piece is a clay animation I did for a stop motion class I had. It end up being a cute animation of my character Pingi the penguin [link] . Pingi always wants to play with his toy bat but does not seem to get that he annoys others, like this poor little sea beast, with it.

Some sounds are from [link] and the other sound effects I had recorded.

I resubmitted this since I can now put it into the film and animation category. The original one was submitted on March 30, 2007.

@00:59That's so sweet! Reminds me of a play I once performed in as a young child. ;)

@00:59Aww, that's cute ^^

I've dabbled in some stop-motion before, so I know that it can be difficult to get the movement smooth, but you've got it down :3

@00:59Thanks! Stopmotion comes quite easy to me. It only took me a weekend to finish the animation and about three days to make the clay models and set. I need to get a new camera soon so I can make more stopmotion. I seem to be better at stopmotion then 3D animation.

@00:59I think it's quite fun, and traditional art always seems to come more naturally to me, as well. Sometimes it's just much easier to manipulate something with your own hands to get it how you want.
